The chances of Barcelona defender Carles Puyol returning to action in the next seven days are becoming more and more doubtful.
The Spanish centre-back has still not recovered from the knee injury he picked up in January, and was absent from training as his team-mates returned following the international fixtures.
According to Marca, the injury will definitely rule Puyol out of the weekend's La Liga game against Sporting Gijon and almost certainly mean he will miss the first leg of the last 16 Champions League tie against Arsenal.
Another absentee for Pep Guardiola is Jeffren, who is on the treatment table with a muscle tear.
